Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to procure services of a vendor to identify faculty at schools of public health presently, or previously, participating in injury prevention and control activities and prepare a report. The vendor shall convene a council, meeting of these faculty and staff from CDC/National Centers for Injury Prevention and Control to disseminate information relative to funding opportunities, to set up a venue for regular communication between council and vested parties and to set up a control for the dissemination of results of research being conducted at facilities within the schools of public health. The vendor shall convene, a meeting during October 2001, to include faculty from schools of public health, representatives of the interdisciplinary practice community and NCIPC staff and shall provide a report of the meeting. Minimum Vendor Qualifications: Access to the thirty Schools of Public Health in the United States and their faculties; credibility and recognition for expertise with individual Deans of Schools of Public Health; Prior experience and expertise in developing and carrying out national meetings; Extensive experience in creating a web-based searchable database; knowledge of state-of-the art public health approaches and strategies, with special emphasis on public health approaches to injury prevention. It is anticipated that this requirement will be a sole source procurement with the Association of Schools of Public Health. All inquiries must reflect the RFQ number.
