Description

The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) intends to negotiate on other than full and open competitive basis with Lockheed Martin, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company, Palmdale, CA 93499. The contractor shall provide 12 autopilots to complete the development of the Dragon Eye system. The basic requirements for the autopilots are as follows: package in a 2 inches x 5 inches x 0.7 inches space; weight not to exceed .5 pounds; capable of fully autonomous flight; fly preprogrammed waypoints using GPS navigation; have an auto-landing capability; capable of "control-stick-steer" mode; and provide a stable platform for video imagery. The required delivery date is 14 weeks after contract award. This notice is considered to be sole source and therefore, no solicitation will result from this announcement.
