Description

NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the purchase of 20 each SRAM p/n 225A837-144T, QML "VQ" V level screening without lot testing; and 20 each PROM p/n 197A807-144T, QML "VQ" V level screening without lot testing. These items must be space qualified and have spaceflight specific parts. Additional specifications are: (1) all parts shall be of the same die lot and assembly lot date code, (2) the lot data code shall not be older than 3 years; (3) a Certificate of Compliance is required; (4) all items shall be package in conductive packaging and marked as ESK sensitive per MIL-STD-1686. Additional specifications to be included in the request for quote. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from BAE Military & Aerospace Sales, LLC, Oakton, VA. BAE Military & Aerospace Sales is the only company that can provide these space qualified and spaceflight parts that are used in the MLA electronics boards and that meet the stringent specifications for the board designs. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on September 18, 2001. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
