Description
This synopsis describes a planned requirement for the purchase and installation of a studio dimming system for HQ AU/SCV, Maxwell AFB AL. Funds are not presently available, but are anticipated to be available before 30 Sep 01. Reference number is F13RPC12191600. A sufficient number of small businesses have been located to designate the procurement as a 100% set-aside for small business. The North American Industry Classification System is 235990 with an $11.5M limit. Statement of Work: Replace dimming system. Contractor shall install one computer control console, with manual and memory controls and remote focus hand-held unit to replace the existing console with matrix panel. The new console shall provide individual control of all 168 2400-watt dimmers and provide memorized scenes and submitters. New plug-in positions must match the existing studio and control booth locations. Contractor shall remove existing dimmer racks and install new digitally controlled dimmers above the existing panel on the second level. Contractor shall relocate the new dimming rack to the second level directly above current location of the existing dimmers. Contractor shall condense the existing floor conduit to a recessed junction box and install conduit adjacent to wall with wiring. All necessary connections must meet with new second floor connectivity. The overhead conduit and wiring shall be modified to meet with new dimmer. Contractor shall eliminate wiring use of 6000-watt dimmers and provide controllability of 168 2400-watt dimmers. The dimmer rack must allow bi-directional communication within the control console. Contractor shall remove and clean up scrap material in work areas. Contractor shall provide one factory turn-on, calibration of equipment, installation of all required items and training to organization personnel. (The existing system is manufactured by Electronics Diversified Inc with 168 2400-watt and 12 6000-watt dimmers. The low voltage matrix panel and control console is a board with 48 adjustable control sliders. One analog dimmer rack, model Theater Switchboard ?MARK? series.) A one-time site visit is scheduled for 7 Sept 2001 at 1000 hours; location is Building 1405, room is AUTV Maxwell AFB, Montgomery AL. When funds become available, a solicitation will be issued to give official notification of the proposed contract action, and state specific clauses and provisions that are applicable to the acquisition.
