Description

This is a synopsis for commercial items. The Library of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) intends to award a simplified acquisition on a sole-source basis to Mergent FIS, for annual publications with upkeep service. The following examples for this upkeep service are: Mergent Bond Record, Moody's Bank Finance manual, Handbook of Common Stocks, Handbook of NASDAQ Stocks, Moody's Industrial Manual, Moody's International Manual, Moody's Municipal and Government Manual, Moody's OTC Industrial Manual, Moody's Public Utility Manual, Moody's Transportation Manual, and Moody's OTC Unlisted Manual. The Period of Performance will be from 01/01/01 through 12/31/02. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the government will consider all proposals received by 09/10/01. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon response to this notice is solely within discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
