- Description
- The United States Government Printing Office will issue a sealed bid for 3600 specially made wooden skids, with a GPO drawing C-3034 Rev. F. Specifications are as follows: 1. All lumber used in the construction of the skids shall be new, straight, free from warpage, cracks, splits or gouges, and shall have a moisture content not to exceed 26%. 2. Size 38" x 48". 3. Each skid runner must be in one piece, and be 3 inches in thickness, plus or minus 1/4 inch and 7-3/4 inches high, plus or minus 1/4". 4. Skid runners shall be set in not less than 1 inch from the edge of the skid and there must be a space of 30 plus or minus 1/2 inches between the runners. 5. The deck shall be made of boards approximately 1-1/2 plus or minus 1/4 inch, however boards that are approximately 3/4 inches thick will be accepted, if doubled. NOTE: Deck board specifications are for "SOFT wood. If "HARD" wood EXCEPTION MUST BE NOTED ON BID AND MUST MEET LOAD REQUIREMENTS IN PARAGRAPH 6. 6. The skids furnished must be serviceable for shipment of loads which may weigh approximately 2,500 pounds. 7. STENCILING REQUIREMENTS: Skids are to be stenciled on the outside of each runner as follows: Letters to be at least 4" high, 1" wide, Black Paint. RETURN TO -- GPO PROPERTY NO. 224570. GPO drawing will be furnished to all interested parties with the sealed bid. Initial delivery of 800 required 30 days after award and delivery of 400 required every 30 to 45 days thereafter. All shipments must be marked with property number and shipped to GPO 44 H. Street N.W., Central Receiving Washington, D.C. 20401. The government anticipates awarding a (purchase order), utilizing the Simplified Acquistion Procedures as specified in the Federal Acquistion Regulation Part 13, to the responsible offeror. All responsible sources shall submit a FOB destination price. NOTE: Limited number of copies available. Issued on a first-come, first serve basis. No phone calls will be accepted.
