Description

ISSUE DATE: 09/14/2001. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and disposal necessary to provide exterior repairs at Nobska Point Dwelling, Woods Hole, Massachusetts (Barnstable County). Contractor shall remove approximately 4300 square feet of existing siding and trim and replace with new wood siding and trim on a historic structure. Lead paint will be removed from exterior basement walls and repainted. Approximately 300 square feet of deteriorated sheathing boards will be removed and replaced. Other related work will be required. Quotations will be evaluated by best value to the government which will consider experience in application of exterior siding and work on historical buildings as well as price. It is anticipated that actual on-site work will commence in the spring of 2002. The period of performance is 90 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed, with actual on-site performance not to exceed 45 calendar days. The estimated cost range for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. NAICS code is 235610 and the size standard is $11.5 million. Solicitation will be available on or about September 14, 2001.
