Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number N00164-01-R-0111 is hereby issued as a request for proposal (RFP). Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27 as well as DCN 20001213. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 334419 and the size standard is 750 employees. This procurement will be procured on a sole-source basis in accordance with the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). The drawings are exclusive to BAE Systems, the original manufacturer of the WJ-8700 receiver. The Government does not own rights to drawings or specifications to allow for full and open competition. Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division intends to enter into a firm fixed price supply type contract with BAE Systems Aerospace Electronics, Inc., 700 Quince Orchard Road, Gaithersburg, MD 20878-1794. This requirement is for the following: CLIN 0001 3 each WJ-8700/BW7/488 Dual VLF/HF radio receiver with options. The radio receivers are in support of the EP-3E Sensor System Improvement Program (SSIP) upgrade to the EP-3E ARIES II aircraft. Delivery is required F.O.B. NSWC Crane IN 47522 within 180 days after award. Final inspection will be at NSWC Crane IN. This will be a firm fixed price contract and will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of commercial sale warranty provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government. The offeror shall provide its Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code, Contractor Establishment Code and Tax Identification Number.
