- Sources Sought: THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF RFP ISSUANCE. The U. S. Coast Guard Maintenance and Logistics Command Atlantic, intends to issue a Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity type contract for a base and 4 option periods. This sources sought is to compile a list of companies that can provide an ICOM, PCR1000 Receiver & Software, a PC based HF Weather Fax system, which includes: HF weather Fax software, HF receiver with antenna, and associated cables needed to tie the antenna, Receiver, and Computer together with the following Salient Features: 1. All software must be windows based and able to work on Microsoft Windows NT Operating System. 2. Weather wax software must be able to determine the time for the next broadcast fax and change the radio receiver to the proper frequency to accept the signal automatically. 3. Weather fax software must be able use the raw data from the radio receiver and process it into readable weather fax pages without the aid of an external demodulator unit. 4. Radio receiver and antenna shall be able to receive any frequency within the HF spectrum. 5. The radio receiver shall have an audio jack for an external speaker. 6. The radio receiver shall weight less the 3lb. 7. The whole system shall use only one serial port and one audio-in port on the Government computer. 8. The weather fax software shall have the ability print the whole fax on one letter size page without using the print screen function or changing the file name. 9. The antenna for this system shall be less than 6 foot tall and be made of fiberglass or stainless steel. 10. The weather fax software shall have the ability to transport a received HF weather fax and place it on the unit shared public folder. All interested sources capable of providing the above mentioned software and antenna to the U. S. Coast Guard can respond to this notice and provide company name, address, telephone number and point of contact. Sources must indicate the business size status: Small Business, 8(a), or other.
