Description

The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences intends to award a sole source purchase order to Applied Spectral Imaging, Carlsbad, CA, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1) -- Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is for the purchase of 1 each of the following: #1096-07-01 Sky Vision 2Q Spectral Imaging Workstation, #1301-03 G-Mount Adapter, #4101-08-02 Universal (XE, HG) Light Source, #4111-01 150W Xenon Bulb, #4301-01 Sky Filter Set, #4311-01 DAPI Filter Set, #4505-03 3-Pos Filter Slider, Axiophot. This system has the following required features: 1) Interferometer-based optical head which measures the complete spectrum at every image pixel, 2) Cooled, monochrome CCD camera with superior sensitivity to low-light levels, 3) Windows-NT based computer with Image Acquisition Software and SkyView Software for automatic karyotyping, 4) large monitor, 5) Xenon light source and 6) custom Sky filter cube to simultaneously excite the SkyPaint fluorescent dyes. All responsible sources may respond by submitting a written narrative statement of capability within 5 days of closing date of notice to Dee Lunney at the above address for consideration by the agency. Response must include detailed technical information and other technical literature demonstrating the ability to meet these requirements. Responses shall also include itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible. If no affirmative responses are received within 5 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with the Applied Spectral Imaging. The NAICS Code/Size is 339111/500EM. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures.*****
