Description

This is an intent to award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302 with Gen-Probe, Incorporated, San Diego, CA for reagents, testing equipment, materials and supplies for Chlamydia trachomatis, Neisseria gonnorrhea and Mycobacterium testing. This is a sole source procurement because Gen-Probe is the only known source that has the required FDA approvals and patented technology. Interested parties may identify interest and capability be submitting technical and pricing data within 15 days of publication of this notice to the address above. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, all proposals received within 15 days after publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice, but will be used to determine if a comparable source or offerors are available and more advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received, the contract will be awarded without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
