Description

Furnish and deliver fresh doughnut products for a firm, fixed price requirements contract in the estimated total annual quantity of 56,000 dozen as follows: glazed, raspberry filled, blueberry filled, crullers, apple filled, cream filled, lemon filled, and chocolate glazed. The contract will be one year from November 01, 2001 through October 31, 2002. Must meet purchase description and requirements of the Commercial Item Description (CID) A-A-20054. Age of product at time of receipt shall not exceed eigh t (8) hours old upon receipt to dining facilities. Frozen doughnut products do not meet requirements. Each shipment must include a certificate of origin stating items were produced or manufactured in a U.S. Army sanitarily approved facility. Potential bi dders/suppliers who are not currently listed in the directory of sanitarily approved food establishments for Armed Forces Procurement, Circular 40-1, must request in writing an Initial Sanitary Inspection of the manufacturing facility. A request for facil ity inspection is to be faxed to the Directorate of Contracting Fort Gordon 706-791-3896 to the attention of Deborah McGugan, Procurement Technician, 706-791-1827, email mcgugand@gordon.army.mil or Jeanette Willoughby, Contract Specialist, 706-791-1806. B idder's facility must be inspected and approved by U.S. Army inspectors prior to bid opening. Inspection of the total plant production of the product shall be conducted by the Fort Gordon Military Veterinary Service in accordance with AR 40-657. A bid wh ich is received from a potential bidder whose facility has not been sanitarily approved by a military veterinary service on or before opening of bids will be declared nonresponsive and rejected. The NAICS Code is 311812. In accordance with DFARS 52.204-70 04 regarding Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prospective contractors(s) must be registered in the CCR Database prior to award of contract. Bidder must be registered with the government Central Contractor Registration prior to award of a government contract or may be considered nonresponsive and rejected. Projected issue date of the solicitation is Octob er 10, 2001.
