- Description
- This is a combined sysnopsis/request for quotations (RFQ) for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR subpart 12.6,and supplemented with information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only RFQ being issued and separate written request for quotations will not be issued. Furnish and install 1 each -- 50 KW Generator System with auto transfer switch system complete with all required supplies. Generator to be installed in a manner to allow the system to be maintained in a ready state at all times. Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment and materials necessary to complete this purchase in accordance with the requirements specified herein. The operations to be performed shall also include: Automatic Transfer Switch and all piping, wiring, and conduit required to furnish a complete back up system to the LTCU chiller. Collection and disposal of all litter, trash, and debris associated with and by the included work and other miscellaneous services as described herein. Replacemet and or proper repairs to any and all areas disturbed, damaged or otherwise altered. These operations shall be performed in accordance with the following: A. Generator Set-50KW, 277/480 vac, 3 phase, 4 wire, 60 hertz (Kohler 5OROZJ Diesel or equal); Dec-3+ 16 light controller (1. pre-alarm sender; 2. Anticipatory low oil pressure; 3. Anticipatory high water temperature and 4. low water temperature); B. Weather housing (1. Critical silencer, system and 2. exhaust pipe with rain cap); C. Fuel System (1. 275 gallon double wall subbase set tank (minimum), 2. Emergency pressure relief, 3. Inner tank leak alarm, 4. 2" locking fill cap, 5. Normal vent system, 6. Low fuel level alarm, and 7. flexible fuel lines); D. Engine/Generator Accessories (1. Cranking batteries with rack and cables, 2. Battery charger system, 12vdc, 10amp, float type, 3. Block Heater System, 4. Safeguard Breakers and 5. Line circuit breaker, 3 pole, 80 amp); E. Radiator Cap Cover with lock; F. Automatic Transfer Switch (1. Kohler Model GSL-166341-225, 225 amp, 480vac, 3 pole, 3 phase, 4 wire, KEMA-1 KA-23-YD Plant Exerciser or Equal; G. Miscellaneous Items (1. 1 year warranty parts and labor, 2. 3 sets operation and maintenance manuals, 3. All required oils and antifreeze to operate, and 4. Initial Start-Up, test {to include load certifications}). All work shall be performed during regular working hours. Required shut downs shall be scheduled during non-peak periods. Contractor shall manage the total work effort associated with the site work, equipment set up and installation services required to assure fully adequate and timely completion of these services. Included in this function will be a full range management duties including, but not limited to planning, scheduling, report preparation, quality control, and safety. The Contractor shall provide adequate staff with the necessary managerial expertise to assure the performance of the work is in accordance with sound and efficient management principles and safe working practices and procedures. Installation of generator set: Contractor shall be responsible for making required set up and installation to the standard of the industry and leave the service in proper working order. Installation of Automatic Transfer Switch: Contractor shall be responsible for install and tie-into existing 3 phase service with same or better materials as existing to establish back up service to stand by chiller. Contractor to provide a concrete mounting pad and berm for fuel system. Contractor to provide dimensions, descriptive literature, and any other pertinent information on generator they intend to supply. To be delivered on an FOB Destination basis.
