Description

This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, and therefore, a formal written document will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions/clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. The Television-Audio support Activity intends to enter into a sole source procurement with Sony Electronics Corporation to purchase the following: Two (2) each Sony p/n: MSWM2000 MPEG IMX Studio Editing Recorder; 4:2:2 digital component recording; playback of Digital Betacam, Betacam/SP, Betacam SX and MPEG IMX. Standard commercial warranty required. The equipment shall be delivered FOB destination to the Television-Audio Support Activity, McClellan, California 95652 not later than 60 days after receipt of order. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the agency. Responses to this notice should be provided in writing by 11 Sep 01, 1300 local time. To be eligible to receive an award resulting from this quotation, Contractor must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database, NO EXCEPTIONS. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial applies to this acquisition. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provisions at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with their offer. Clauses at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, 52.212-5 (DEV), Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, 52.233-4001, Agency Protests, and the following clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.202-1, 52.222-21, 52.222-37, and 52.232-33.
