Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is RFQ N00124-01-Q-0342 and this solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). Delivery shall be FOB Destination to the Naval War College, NWC Receiving, Building 12, 12 Chandler Street, Newport, Rhode Island 02841. Invoice shall be sent to Naval War College, 686 Cushing Road, Newport, Rhode Island 02841. Delivery shall be made 1 October 2001. Facsimile quotes will be accepted and shall be addressed to Kathie A. Curran, Contracting Officer, FX (401) 841-3567. This due date and time for receipt quote is 20 September 2001, 2:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. Purchase of a Microsoft Campus Agreement 3.0 Licensing for the Faculity & Staff of the Naval War College as follows: 614 Each -Office Professional; 614 Each-Windows 2000 Professional; 614 each-Front Page; 614 each Project; 614 each -Visio Professional; The following are for the Student Options 450 each Office Professional; 450 each Windows 2000 Professional; 450 each Front Page; 450 each Project; 450 each Visio Professional. Licensing shall be for the period of 01 October 2001 through 30 September 2002. The Naval War College is an accredited institution. Responsible quoters must be Microsoft Authorized Education Reseller (AER). The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instruction of Offerors-Commercial, applies to this solicitation. The clause at FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation of Commercial items, applies to this solicitation. The clause at FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial items applies to this solicitation. The Clause at FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders-Commercial items, applies to this solicitation. The Following clauses also apply to this solicitation FAR 52.232-33, payment by Electronic Funds Transfer. DFAR 252.204-7004, Required Central Contracts Registration. For solicitations after 1 Jun 98 all contractors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) for award. The Clause at FAR 52.232-18, Availability of Funds (APR 1984) also applies to this solicitation. All quotes must reference the solicitation number and the due date for receipt of quoted. In addition to this, each quote must contain the name, address and telephone number of the offeror as well as any discount terms that are offered and remit to address (if different from the mailing address). Any amendments hereby issued to this solicitation will be synopsized in the same manner as this solicitation and must be acknowledge by each quoter. Any quote or modifications to quotes received after the specified due date for receipt of quotes will not be considered. The Government will award a purchase order resulting form solicitation to a responsible quoter whose quote conforms to the solicitation and is considered most advantageous to the Government. Award will be made on the basis of low overall price. Quoter shall specify business size and classification as required in FAR 52.212-3.
