Description

The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) plans to issue a competitive solicitation Number DTFR53-01-R-00045 for sources capable of collecting and editing prospective Railroad Waybill Samples for calendar years 2002 through 2006. The Waybill Sample is a yearly sample of carload waybills for terminated shipments by rail carriers. The Government requires railroads to submit waybill sample data if, in any of the three preceding years, they terminated on their lines at least 4,500 revenue carloads. This requirement was posted on April 30, 2001 under Reference Number PR-210134017 and described in detail. The Government contemplates awarding a firm fixed price type contract. The period of performance is for a base period of one year with options for four additional one-year periods. Electronic copies of the solicitation will be available at the GSA Electronic Posting Service (EPS) at http://www.eps.gov. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) service, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the FedBizOpps page is www.fedbizopps.gov or www.eps.gov. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
