Description

VA Medical Center (VAMC), Minneapolis, MN solicits the following with procurement being conducted under combination of FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures and FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items with additional information included in this notice. Solicitation #RFP 894-165-01 is assigned as Request for Proposal. Solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. This procurement is issued as 100% Set Aside for Small Business. NAICS code is 513310, with the small business size standard of 1500 employees. A pre-proposal SITE WALK is scheduled for Thursday, September 13, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. Meet at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, near Administration Building (flag circle). Failure to attend this conference will not relieve the successful Contractor from compliance with all specifications, terms and conditions of resultant contract. Provide all labor and material for installation of two (2) 6-strand multi-mode fiber optic cables from Ft. Snelling Cemetery Administration Building communication distribution point to Buildings 3001 and 3002; install cable at 36 inches below grade in PVC conduit; terminate and test per specifications; approximate cable and conduit length is plus/minus 10,000 LF. Interior cable plant will consist of drops in Buildings 3001 and 3002; provide patch cables, lockable communications cabinet, punch down block/panels, power strips and other items as required by specifications and drawings. All work to be completed between (on or about) September 26, 2001 and on or before November 15, 2001, or approximately 60-days from Award/Notice To Proceed. Bid Guarantee, Payment and Performance Bonds are required; vendors must have had a minimum of two (2) years experience in the field of interior and exterior cable plant fiber installation.
