Description

This notice is to inform all potential offerors of a solicitation and a project site tour for the Bear Lake Campground Reconstruction. A one-time solicitation project site tour will be conducted on October 3, 2001, 10:30 a.m., local time. From the town of Yampa, Colorado, travel southwest approximately 12 miles on County Road 7 (Forest Development Road 900/Bear River Road). Turn left at the Bear Lake Campground sign and park at the Day-Use parking lot. Because access to the project site in the spring is difficult, at best, the site visit is being held this fall. All potential offerors are invited to attend. If you plan to attend the site visit, please contact Byron Brown at 970/498-2508 by October 1, 2001. If there are no calls indicating attendance, the meeting will be cancelled. The project consists of the reconstruction of the Bear Lake Campground/Day-Use area and the construction of a new 20-unit campground loop. Major items of work include survey, clearing and grubbing, excavation and embankment, aggregate base course, installation of four new 2-unit vault toilets, trails, new water system with hydrants, site furnishings, signage, and concrete work. The estimated price range is betweeen $500,000 and $1,000,000. The date of the solicitation will be 09/01/2001 -- 05/15/2002. It is anticipated that plans/drawings and specifications will be available April 1, 2002; and that contract award will be made by May 15. The estimated starting date is June 15. All work shall be completed within 120 calendar days. This project is advertised under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. No telephone request accepted.
