Description

Statement of Work -- Project Summary This solicitation will be to provide all labor, materials, services, training, insurance and equipment to provide Lead-Based Paint Abatement work and removing of existing exterior siding at the Fort Peck Physical Therapy Building at the USPHS Indian Health Center in Poplar, Montana. The contractor shall follow all Federal, State and local ordinances, regulations and rules pertaining to lead, including its storage, transportation and disposal of lead-based waste. The contractor shall make every effort to minimize the generation of waste classified as hazardous under current regulations. Paint strippers which contain trichloroethylene are not allowed for use. This project will be bid with one (1) bid alternative. BASE BID: Exterior Building Siding: Remove all siding scheduled for removal. Do not remove underlying paper sheeting. Place siding in properly labeled disposal barrels. Exterior Window Casings: Remove all scheduled window casings and store in properly labeled disposal barrels. Exterior Fascia/Soffit & Rafters: Remove all paint from fascia, soffit and rafter ends to wood substrate. Exterior/Interior Windows: Remove all paint from window troughs and sills scheduled for abatement. Exterior Soil: Remove all paint chips from soil a minimum distance of four (4) feet from around the perimeter of the house. Work must be performed prior to commence of siding removal. BID ALTERNATIVE NO. ONE (1) Interior First Floor Walls/Plaster: Remove all plaster to wood lath in designated areas. Interior First Floor Walls/Concrete: Remove all paint from concrete substrate and clean floor of all loose paint debris. Please refer to the attached plans, specifications, conditions and contract clauses associated with this solicitation package. The range of this project is between $25,000 to $100,000.
