Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are bein g requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The government intends to award a sole-source contract to Thunder Scientific Corporation. The U.S. Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center at White Sands Missile Range, NM, has a requirement f or 1 each Two Pressure Humidity Generator Model 2500ST to include mobile cart and air compressor, Model ACS517B sound proof box, Controlog Automation Software, Certificate of Calibration traceable to NIST, Chamber dimensions 15 W X 15 H X 12 D with additio nal access port right side (DPH). The Thunder Scientific humidity generator was selected for use because it has high repeatability metrology standard measurements. No other known humidity generator can provide a dual stage pressure system with the requir ed accuracy, nor satisfy all of the criteria as Thunder Scientific, and still meet the needs of the customers. Interested vendors must provide documentation to show that they are providing either the brand name, or equal equipment, as well as technical da ta on its firm s capabilities. All responses to this synopsis must be submitted by close of business 14 Sep 01 in order to be considered by the Government.
