Description

The National Institute of Health (NIH) Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) intends to purchase Scientific Equipment. The Institute is interested in purchasing a Fermentor and accessories. This Fermentor is required for medium scale expression of proteins in E.Coli. Expression of many different proteins in E. Coli is a necessity for our aids related projects. This Fermentor will be used for 15-N and 13-C labeling of proteins for structural studies by NM Labeling to be increased resulting in a considerable decrease in the cost of consumable reagents. The RFQ will be in full detail of the requirements. This notice is for the purchase of commercial scientific equipment within the Simplified Acquisition Threshold up to $ 5 million dollars. It is anticipated that RFQ NIH-NIDDK-01-681 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ. The anticipated award date will be September 28, 2001.
