Description
Fleet & Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound (FISCPS) intends to procure services for a contractor-operated mobile protective footwear store at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton WA. The Government will provide a hardtop parking lot type area, 120-volt electrical service and access to a restroom. The contractor must provide a trailer not larger than 8-feet high by 12-feet wide by 56 feet long for the purpose of fitting and issuing protective footwear to government employees from contractor-owned and maintained inventory. Operating hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Thursday and 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM Friday, excluding federal holidays. All costs associated with operation of the protective footwear trailer shall be borne by the contractor. Footwear stocked by the contractor must meet or exceed American National Standard Institute (ANSI) Standard Z41 Class 75, and must be 100% US-made (per 10 U.S.C. 2241 Note, Berry Amendment). At least one shoe of each pair must be stamped, stitched or have a sewn-in label on the inside of the footwear which indicates that the footwear meets the requirements of ANSI Standard Z41 Class 75. Footwear issues are estimated at 550 pairs per year. The estimated period of performance is 1 March 2002 through 28 February 2003, with the possibility of up to four one-year option periods. This is an unrestricted requirement to be conducted per FAR Parts 12 and 13, Acquisition of Commercial Items and Simplified Acquisition Procedures, respectively. All responsible sources may submit a quote that will be considered by FISCPS. When issued, the RFQ will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link "www.neco.navy.mil". All firms wishing to submit an quote are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website (WinZIP is required) and to frequently monitor that site for any amendments to the RFQ. No telephone requests will be accepted. A fax to (360) 476-8701 or an email to "julie_a_peterson@puget.fisc.navy.mil" will be accepted in the event that a firm experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. No paper copies of the RFQ and/or amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to electronically posted solicitations and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotes may render your quote nonresponsive and result in rejection.
