Description

A/E service to provide working drawings specifications and cost estimate at 50% and 100% design stages for Install Case Cart System at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 508 Fulton Street, Durham, North Carolina. The project will consist of two separate elevators that will connect the second and fourth floors; one for sterile equipment and supplies and one for contaminated supplies. The project will also provide a mechanical room for the elevators as well as any architectural, asbestos, plumbing, sprinkler, HVAC, and electrical services that are needed to install the Case Cart System. All work is to be in compliance with "Book 2, A/E Submission for Conceptual Drawings, Preliminary Drawings, Working Drawings and Cost Estimates to the VA" (green booklet). Estimated construction cost is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. All interested firms are required to submit their 254 and 255 no later than COB (4:30 p.m.) on 10/5/01. Area of consideration is within 50 mile radius of the medical center.
