Description
This is a two-part announcement. First, the Naval Postgraduate School will host a industry briefing. Second, the DOI/NBC Agency POC has changed. The industry briefing for solicitation DOI0801 will be held on 18 September 2001 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Mechanical Engineering auditorium, building 245, Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California. Directions: From the Monterey airport. Exit the airport and go straight for one block to Highway 68. Turn right and stay on 68 until the freeway interchange. Take the Highway 1 south exit which is from the left lane. As soon as you are on Highway 1, stay in the far right lane and exit at the Monterey exit. Make a fishhook right turn at the streetlight (not the regular 90-degree right turn but the one that doubles back), which is Tenth Street. Follow Tenth Street to the end and you will see an entry gate for NPS. Go though the gate and immediately turn left. Take any parking space that is available. The auditorium is the small, stand alone, turquoise and gray building near the parking lot. If you are driving south on Highway 1, there are four Monterey exits. Only one of them is specifically for Monterey. Do not take one of the others that are identified by street names. Take the Monterey exit to the first light. If you are driving north on Highway 1, take the Naval Postgraduate School exit. At the second light, go left under the over pass, get in the immediate right lane and take the first right turn. The NPS gate will be in front of you. Go though the gate and immediately turn left. Take any parking space that is available. The auditorium is the small, stand alone, turquoise and gray building near the parking lot. If the parking area is full, there are a number of other parking areas on campus. Fortunately, NPS is fairly small and you can walk anywhere in about five minutes. NPS is an open military installation and no special access is necessary. The requirements and date for the submission of the first technical proposal will be established at the briefing. The technical proposal will be the first submission in the solicitation process. Nothing is required prior to the briefing. Copies of the FBO notices are attached to this message. There is no need to confirm your attendance at this briefing in advance. Looking forward to meeting all of you. The DOI/NBC Agency POC has changed as follows: FROM: Lutisha Hill lutisha.hill@hua.army.mil (520) 533-8994 TO: Veronica Romero veronica.romero@hua.army.mil (520) 533-8944
