1. This is a combined synopsis and announcement. MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND, ATLANTIC intends to award a Sole Source contract 0n/about 15 September 2001 to DRESSER- RAND for two (2) Rotors,two (2) full sets of Diaphrams and two (2) First Stage Balding Segments. 2. This procurement is being made in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)-1(b)(1)(i) and (ii)Single Source;FAR 6.302-1(b)(2)( Limited rights and data); the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) or 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) and FAR 13.5 in accordance with FAR 5.203(b) (Commercial Acquisition). 3.DRESSER-RAND is the only known source for current engineering details and manufacturing data of this equipment. 4.
