Description
The General Services Administration (GSA) intends to extend its Lockheed Martin Corporation (LMC) contract for the Office of Finance, Heartland Finance Center (6BC), for our payroll associated systems; the Payroll Accounting and Reporting (PAR) system and the Electronic Time and Attendance Management System (ETAMS); the FEDPAY and Accounts Receivable General Supply Fund Systems; the Financial Management Information System (FMIS); the Comprehensive Human Resources Integrated System (CHRIS); and the Pegasys system for a period of 48 months. The Office of Finance has a requirement for Reduced Instruction Set Computers (RISC) server system support. The requirement includes system software loads and updates, hardware maintenance, high level Oracle support and configuration management and review support. The RISC servers shall reside at one central processing site having raised floors, an un-interruptible power supply, a cooling system, and other appropriate environmental controls. The Office of Finance requires high-speed data transfers of 100 Megabits per second. Such transfers can only occur if the RISC servers and the Lockheed Martin owned mainframe computer which hosts the National Electronic and Reporting (NEAR) system have close connectivity. Such connectivity can only be realized if all equipment is co-located in the same facility. The facility must operate 7 days a week, 24 hours a day and be located within 20 miles of the Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) supported by GSA. These systems are critical to GSA's mission and must continue their operation without any disruption, degradation, or delays of any nature. An alternate processing site and off-site storage of tapes, reports and other storage media to assure an effective backup procedure in the case of catastrophic system failure must be provided for recovery. All responses from responsible sources received within fifteen (15) days from the date of publication of this notice will be considered. All responses must be in writing and contain sufficient information for GSA to determine your firm's qualifications to provide the required service. A solicitation document does not exist. No written or telephone requests for a solicitation will be accepted.
