- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Birmingham, AL intends to negotiate with Alpha Innotech Corporation, 14742 Catalina Street, San Leandro, California 94577 for a fluorescence, chemiluminescence, and visible imaging system with terms, conditions, and schedule of the contract. The following are the minimum specifications for the purchase of the imaging system: The system must have a cooled SHCCD camera and must be able to acquire images with greater than 1300 (v) X 1000 (H) mega-pixel resolution at 30 frames per second, with 8-bit read-out and 16 bit for image acquisition mode. It must be designed to acquire fluorescence, chemiluminescence and colorimetric signals. It must have fast optics, and proper interference filters. It must be sensitive to detect chemiluminescent signals for 3 fg of chemiluminescent reagent, pg levels of fluorescent reagents, ng levels of colorimetric reagents, and less than ng levels of chemifluorescent reagents. It must have 32 bit image acquisition features. Software must accomplish automatic 1-D densitometry, molecular weight, Rf calculations, histogram generation, 3-D histograms, PCR quantitation w/standard curve by integration under the peak, 2-D spot analysis, 4 to 10,000 well plate and slot/blot analysis, gel scoring, and object distance measurement. It must have algorithms to compensate for gel distortion, and gel curving. The system shall consist of the following components: Digital Imaging System that includes: Megapixel, cooled SHCCD camera with 16-bit file generation; F1.2 12.5x75mm zoom lens; interference filter; +2+ diopter close-up lens; Pentium III 667 Mhz MMX, 256 MB RAM, 10 GB Hard Drive, CD-ROM, internal Zip Drive, Windows 2000 operating system; 17" high resolution color video monitor; mini-keyboard; mouse, manual, MultiImage FC Light Cabinet with motorized filter wheel, fold-down white light table, dual reflective white light, and ML-26 dual wavelength (302, 365nm) UV excitation transilluminator with pullout tray for fluorescence, GFP and carbohydrate gel imaging Must include FC 32-bit software for image acquisition, enhancement, archiving, documentation, and analysis for high density array, microfilter plates, M.W., 1D-mulit, 2D-spot densitometry, automatic and manual colony counting, gel scoring, and object distance measurement Rewritable CD ROM Internet IDE SYBR Green Filter for imaging gels stained with SYBR-Green 555nm For DE-400 and 500 MultiImage Light Cabinets (DE-500 serial numbers 500114 and after; DE-400 serial numbers 401291 and after) Software (For Windows 98/NT/2000 and Power PC Softwindows or Virtual PC Software) Wide Angle, Fast Lens Optional Reflective Epi-UV Lights The contractor shall provide training sessions to include 1 training session of approximately 1 hour for all personnel in Research Service who will use instrument. Each session will include "hands on" instruction, literature, training manuals, and reference guides. A help website should be available. The contractor shall provide a CD ROM with install instructions and tutorial to the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR). The contractor is responsible for the installation and set-up of the instrument. Any offeror purporting to be able to furnish this may submit a written response demonstrating such capability by September 26, 2002. Responses may be mailed to the above address or faxed to Sylvia Harris at (205) 554-2894, PHONE: (205) 554-2000, extension 2639. NAIC Code: 334516.
