Description

This is a notice of contract action before an issuance of a commercial solicitation. Solicitation number N00168-02-T-0314 will be issued 17 September 2001 for the Automated Branch, Laboratory Services, National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 339111. The small business size standard is 500 employees. NNMC has a requirement for a preventive maintenance contract for three (3) Castle Steam Sterilizers, Models 3622 (2 each) and 3522 (1 each). Award will be made in the form of a SF1449 commercial purchase order for a base year effective from date of award through 30 September 2002 and four (4)option years. The Government will evaluate offers for award purposes by adding the total price for all options to the total price for the basic requirement. The Government may determine that an offer is unacceptable if the option prices are significantly unbalanced. Evaluation of options shall not obligate the Government to exercise the option(s).
