- Description
- The Army Community Service (ACS)Relocation Readiness Program (RRP), Relocation Readiness Assistant is a program that provides a range of relocation services, information, training, and assistance to military personnel and their families who are undergoing a permanent change of station move. The Loan Closet is available to provide basic housekeeping items for temporary loan to incoming and outgoing families. The Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, supervision, transportation, supplies, and equipment to operate the Loan Closet at Fort Richardson, Alaska, except for those items specifically identified herein as items to be provided by the Government. The Contractor shall administer the ACS RRP Loan Closet program among other duties in support of the RRP. The Contractor shall answer inquiries from military personnel, civilian personnel, and family members concerning local military community and civilian community resources. The Contractor shall create and maintain a Resource Library of military community information from all Department of Defense branches and all worldwide locations. The Contractor shall keep the information neatly filed, readily accessible, and organized in a manner to facilitate prompt retrieval of information. The Contractor shall assemble pre-printed materials for welcome packets and sponsorship packets. The Contractor shall print out Standard Information Topic Exchange Service (SITES) packets. Contractor shall provide monthly, by-item counts of Loan Closet check-out and return actions, Newcomers Orientation attendance figures, and numbers of requests for welcome packets and sponsorship packets. Contractor shall provide logistical support to the Newcomers Orientation. Basic Qualifications: Contractor shal lemploy, for work on the contract, only those individuals who have the following minimum qualifications: 6 months administrative work experience in a professional setting to include typing, knowledge of filing systems, property accountability, completion of reports, data collection, and correspondence, or any combination that demonstrates the ability to work effectively in an office setting. Ability to communicate effectively in the English language, both in writing and orally. Knowledge of the military system and military family lifestyles, especially the mobile lifestyle. High School Diploma or General Educational Development Certificate. Knowledge of community resources available for cultural and lifestyle assistance. 12 months or more experience in computer operating systems such as Microsoft Windows NT and computer applications such as Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook to perform word processing and telecommunications (e-mail and Internet access).
