DESC: NSNs 1005-01-255-4232 & 1005-01-255-4233, Part Numbers 12597040-2 &12597040-1. Offerors are hereby notified of the following requirement: In order to receive the technical data package, all offerors are required to execute a Non-Disclosure and Non-Use Agreement binding each offeror to the terms and conditions of the agreement. Copies of the Non-Disclosure and Non-Use Agreement may be found as an attachment to the solicitation posted on the web. The Non-Disclosure and Non-Use Agreement must be signed by an official authorized to legally bind the company. Upon execution of the Non-Disclosure and Non-Use Agreement, return by mail (TACOM-Rock Island, AMSTA-LC-CSC-A/Kathy Conklin, Rock Island, IL 61299-7630) or data fax to (309) 782-3813, Attn: Kathy Conklin. Upon receipt of the signed Non-Disclosure and Non-Use Agreement, a technical data package will be mailed to the offeror. The items to procure are: BLADE, FRONT SIGHT (NSN: 1005-01-255-4232) MAT'L IS 4140 OR 41L40 ALLOY STEEL BAR. END ITEM IS 7.62MM MACHINE GUN. BLADE LENGTH IS 11.9MM NOMINAL; BLADE WIDTH 1.3MM NOMINAL; BLADE HEIGHT IS 11.8MM NOMINAL and BLADE, FRONT SIGHT (NSN: 1005-01-255-4233) MAT'L IS 4140 OR 41L40 ALLOY STEEL BAR. END ITEM IS 7.62MM MACHINE GUN. BLADE LENGTH IS 11.9MM NOMINAL; BLADE WIDTH 1.3MM NOMINAL; BLADE HEIGHT IS 9.8MM NOMINAL. Requirements are quantity of 300 each Blade, Front Sight (NSN: 1005-01-255-4232) and 510 each Blade, Front Sight (NSN: 1005-01-255-4233). FOB is Destination. For use on the M240 Machine Gun. Proposed contract is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. Estimated issue date is not known. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c) therefore hardcopies will not be provided. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. A License Agreement between FN Herstal, S.A. and the US requires the items procured to be manufactured in the US. US means the 50 states and the District of Columbia. The successful offeror under this solicitation agrees to manufacture the items, being procured under this contract, within the US. The proposed contract will include a 100 percent option.
