Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for Commercial Items in accordance with FAR Part 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This RFQ is a small business set-aside, the NAICS code is 3343103 and the small business size standard is 750 employees. This requirement is being issued as a Request for Quotation, solicitation number R3-01-01-83. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-27 (25 Jun 2001) and in Department of Agriculture Acquisition Regulations and Forest Service Acquisition Regulations. Quotations are due by 4:30 PM local time September 18, 2001. Facsimile quotations will be accepted at 520/333-6357 Attn RKI Cole. This specification covers the requirements for one dispatch logging recorder with the following minimum requirements: Either DVD or magneto-optical recording medium. 24 channel capability to include telephones. 800 unattended channel hours of recording and playback capabilities. Insta playback capabilities and record on demand. Recording unit would have the capability to access individual channel recordings and multichannel recordings in the event two separate consoles are in the conversation. We desire that each channel hade the capability to be date and time stamped. The provisions at FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial and FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items apply to this acquisition. Offerors must submit a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items. This acquisition will be evaluated in accordance with FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation -- Commercial Items. As prescribed in FAR 12.301(c), the provisions the Government will award this solicitation will result from the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to this solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The offeror may obtain all FAR regulations referred to in this synopsis athttp://www.arnet.gov/far/.The offeror should also provide its Commercial and Contractor Establishment code (DUNS number) and Tax Identification Number. If a change occurs in this requirement, only those offerors that respond to this announcement within the required timeframe will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award.
