Description

The 89th Contracting Squadron, Andrews AFB Maryland, intends to issue a sole source firm fixed price contract to Siemens Building Technologies, Inc.; Landis Division; 6901 Muirkirk Meadows Drive; Beltsville MD 20705, for the commercial acquisition of base-wide operation, preventive maintenance, repair, system design and engineering, system expansion of the Siemens Energy Management Control System (EMCS) currently in use on Andrews AFB Maryland. This is a sole source procurement under the authority of 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for quotation (RFQ) for competitive quotes. A determination by the government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. As funds are not presently available for this acquisition, the solicitation will be issued under FAR clause 52.232-18 -- Availability of Funds. Any contract resulting from this acquisition will contain a basic year period. The NAIC is 541513 ($9.0). This procurement shall be made under the authority of USC 2304(c)(1) and FAR clause 6.302-1 -- Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. 89CONS anticipates award by 30 September 2001 and contract start on 01 October 2001.
