- Description
- The Social Security Administration intends to negotiate solely with DLT Solutions, Inc. located at 360 Herndon Parkway, Suite 300, Herndon, Virginia 29169 for Open e-security (OeSP) 9925-100 Platform software, maintenance, and on-site consulting available via their GSA Schedule contract. The OeSP Platform is the technical foundation for bringing together all of the components of the security infrastructure, including network hardware and software point products. It is robust enough to manage all existing security point products on the market as well as flexible in its architecture to encompass emerging technologies. The OeSP Platform directly addresses the need to centrally monitor a distributed security environment from a single console. This includes the ability to view the status of enterprise security and information assets such as: (1) information security devices; (2) network devices for security events; applications and services; (3) file servers & Enterprise Resource Planning Systems; (4) other security sources; and (5) information assets grouped by business unit, business process, or enterprise initiative. The OeSP product Platform as the following attributes: (1) real-time security awareness; (2) consoles anywhere; (3) customizable views; (4) global ready; (5) aggregates related events that span assets and/or time to alert the enterprise when point security products otherwise fail to identify related events; (6) flexible and secure communications; and (7) contains powerful reporting functionality that enables security staff to clearly demonstrate the health of the security environment to management, auditors and regulators. SSA has conducted an evaluation of several products that would monitor for intrusion attempts on our Firewalls; work on an IBM platform (SSA standard for Firewall Hardware); compatible with Checkpoint Firewall software (SSA Firewall Standard); and work in a token ring environment and the OeSP 9925-100 Platform software is deemed to possess all the necessary capabilities required by the Agency. Any responsible firm that feels it has the capability to provide this requirement to SSA via their GSA Schedule may contact Monica Yankle, Contracting Officer at the following email address: monica.yankle@ssa.gov. Responses may be transmitted via facsimile to 410-965-9560. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided. If after 3 business days of this Notice, no viable responses have been received, SSA shall issue an award to DLT Solutions.
