Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subparts 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation 528-17-01 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) and incorporates provisions and clauses in affect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. This requirement is being solicited through full and open competition. The North American Industrial Classification System code is 333319 (ovens, commercial type, manufacturing). The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price purchase order under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), and will consider all quotes that are submitted on, or before, September 25, 2001. The requirement is for the purchase and installation of a new combination oven/steamer. The appliance should be a roll-in oven, powered by natural gas, that can cook food with both dry and moist heat, and includes (40) 12" x 20" full steam pans, (20) 24" x 20" steam pans, and (20) 18" x 26" sheet pans. It should be able to be used as a rethermalization oven to bring food back to its proper temperature, and should include a computer interface that monitors the cooking process and documents cooking information (including batch number, time, program number, cabinet temperature, core temperature). FAR 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal (Aug 1999), FAR provision 52.212-2 Evaluation Commercial Item (Jan 1999). The Government will award to the responsible offeror whose offer, conforming to this solicitation, will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Offerors must provide their DUNS number and TIN.
