Description
This is a request for quotation for commercial items. This combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a solicitation package will not be issued. Solicitation Number DAHA45-01-Q-0025 is issued as a request for quotation, is a 100% small business set-aside and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. The associated NAICS is 315999 with 500 employees. This will be an all or none fixed-firm price contract. The Washington Army National Guard is requesting Chemical Surety Materials Responder, Level A and Level B chemical suits. Level A suits are totally encapsulating protective suits, front entry, expanded back. Level B suits are front entry coverall with optional overhoods. Suits must protect against a wide range of agents such as; Sarlin, Mustard, Soman, Tabun, and Nerge Agents. Chemical suits shall be Kappler, model numbers 43580 and 42489 or equal. Sizes and quantities are as follows; MDL# 43580 (Level A), small thru extra large -- 32 each, and 18 each XXL. Model# 42489 (Level B), small thru extra large -- 66 each, and 8 each XXL. If cost varies with the size, offeror shall indicate what the prices are. Suits shall be certified by the U.S. government to conduct testing with chemical warfare agents. The provisions in FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items and FAR 52.21202, Evaluation -- Commercial Items apply to this acquisition. Offerors must specify business size, cage code, duns number, and tax-ID number in their quote. Prospective contractors must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to bid on this solicitation. Offerors must include a completed copy of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications -- Commercial Items, with their offer. The claus in FAR 52.232-33, Payment by Electronic Fund applies to this acquisition. Award will be made to that offeror whose quote meets the specifications listed above and is the most advantageous to the government, which includes past performance and price evaluation. The government intends to award a firm fixed price order. All quotes shall include prices, FOB point (name and telephone number), and GSA numbers if applicable, business size and payment terms. This award is being made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Part 13 of the FAR. The government will not be responsible for any costs associated with the preparation and response of this announcement. Bids are due no later than close of business Thrusday, September 21, 2001.
