Description

The Great Lakes Acquisition Center plans to enter into a sole source contract with Katten, Muchin, Zavis (KMZ) to provide organizational site assessment surveys for operationalizing all dimensions of the Health Information Patient Privacy Act (HIPPA) for large integrated healthcare system. A sole source contract is being entered into with KMZ because: they are recognized in the healthcare community as an authority on HIPPA, will develop and provide a HIPPA assessment template focused to VHA operations that can be passed on to other VA sites without being purchased separately or licensed from KMZ, has joint ventured with a business consulting firm and an information technology system that enables the client to save fees by training/educating the client to perform future assessments while gathering information for their own facility needs and assist other in assessments for their facilities.
