Description

Notice of availability of a prospectus for the award of a five-year concession contract authorizing the operation of shuttle bus service for park visitors from the Gettysburg National Military Park Visitor Center to the Eisenhower National Historic Site and return. The service operates on a year-round basis. All personnel, equipment and supplies needed to operate shall be provided by the concessioner. The existing concessioner's annual gross receipts for 2000 were $124,093. The Director, National Park Service, has determined that this is a qualified new concession contract as annual gross receipts are estimated to be less than $500,000 in the first 12 months of its term. Therefore, pursuant to 36 CFR Part 51.36, a preferred offeror for this contract exists. Offers are due November 13, 2001.
