Description

Work consists of providing labor, equipment, materials, transportation, quality control, and supervision necessary to repair the High Temperature Hot Water Distribution System (HTHW). Work includes but is not limited to the following: ?h Site grading ?h Sidewalk, curb and gutter, and asphalt replacement ?h Installation of new storm drain making connections to existing storm drains and new storm drain ?h Installation of 4 CPVC line from HTHW valve stations and lift stations to storm drains ?h Installation of new manholes in HTHW system with sump pumps and remote readouts ?h Seeding, sodding, and fertilizing ?h Make modifications to existing trench boxes ?h Clean existing manholes to trench box pipe and install new sump pumps with remote readouts The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available at Web site www.eps.gov on or about 6 July 2001. The performance period is 60 days after the issuance of the notice to proceed. The acquisition is open competition for large and small businesses in accordance with the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program. The RFP will only be made available by electronic transmission. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The magnitude of this project is $500,000 to $1,000,000. The NAICS code is 23491. The following is an amendment to this solicitation: AMENDMENT 1 REPAIR HTHW, NORTH AND SOUTH AREA NZAS 92-0020 ITEM REFERENCE DESCRIPTION 1 Change the performance period from 60 days to 120 calendar days 2 Sec 01000-10, para 3.19.2.2.1 Delete the first two sentences and add the following: ??This contract does not require a full time Quality Control Manager. The individual assigned may have other duties within the contractor??s organization but must commit a minimum of 4 hours per day towards fulfilling the QC requirements of this section.?? 3 Sec 01000-11, para 3.21 After the first sentence, add the following: ??Work must be completed during the time when the heat plant is not operational. This is usually between mid-May and mid-September.
