UPDATED STATUS OF THE HANFORD SITE RIVER CORRIDOR CLOSURE PROJECT DRAFT REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS On July 25, 2001, the DOE Richland Operations Office issued a notice that the Draft RFP for the River Corridor Closure Project would be delayed until late August or early September. The purpose of this notice is to update industry on the status of this Draft RFP. The new DOE administration supports the accelerated closure of the River Corridor at the Hanford Site and intends to include innovative features in this contract that will further ensure DOE attracts the best commercial resources to its work. These contract features are being refined and evaluated by DOE. DOE intends to release the Draft RFP by Mid October 2001 to support an award by late Summer or Fall of 2002.
