Description

RESPONSE DATE HAS BEEN CHANGED FROM 11 SEPTEMBER 2001 AT 04:00 PM EST TO THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 13 2001 AT 12:00 PM EST. =20 Sports Officials. Andrews Air Force Base is intending to award a firm fixed price (FFP) Service Contract for sports officials to officiate intramural, varsity and other sports activities; volleyball, football, basketball, softball and soccer. This commercial acquisition will be accomplished in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13. The contractor is expected to provide all management, supervision, labor personnel and any other items necessary to provide sports officials to officiate intramural, varsity and other sporting events. The applicable North American Industrial classification System (NIACS) code is 713940. The period of performance will be for a one-year base period with four one-year option periods. The Government reserves the unilateral right to exercise any option periods. The closing date and time for submission of offers will be contained in the solicitation package. The solicitation notices and any/all amendments will be posted and available for viewing and downloading on the Government Electronic Posting System (EPs) site at www.fedbizopps.gov. No paper copies will be issued. When the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review the aforementioned site regularly for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. All prospective offerors must have a Commercial and government Entity Code (CAGE Code) and be registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) at www.ccr2000.com. In accordance with FAR Clause 5.207(c)(2)(xv), all responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the Agency. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract, it does not restrict the Government's ultimate approach, nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any proposal preparation costs.
