Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and 13.106, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document & incorporated provisions & clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. This procurement is a 100% small business set-aside. The SIC Code is 1799 and the NIACS code is 235310. Desired delivery date is on/about 30 September 2001; FOB destination, acceptance by the Government at completion of performance.=20 DESCRIPTION -- To include but not limited to: Purchase, Trench, splice, and backfill PE39 telephone cable from Bldg 9203 to Bldg 9201, 9220, 9223, 9265. 1500ft -- 900pr, 700ft -- 600pr, 1600ft -- 100pr, 1900ft -- 50pr. Also, there are three 40ft road bore. Terminate both ends of all cables with the correct hardware. Replace splices, install new splices, and install new pedestals in D9 (three 1800 splices), D2 (one 1200pr slice & pedestal), D6 (one 1800pr splice & pedestal), D7 (one 1800 pr slpice and pedestal), D5 (one 1200pr splice & pedestal). All pedestals will be double-door pedestals (30"X12") and install 2'X4'X4" conctrete base around each. The following clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial items; provisions at FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. This award will be made on the basis of lowest cost, technically acceptable. FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders-Commercial Items. In addition, the following clauses shall also be applicable to this solicitation: DFAR 252.204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration March 2000, DFAR 252.225-7000 Buy American Act and Balance of Payment Program March 1998, DFAR 252.246-7000 Material Inspection and Receiving Report, AFFAR 5352.242-9000 Contractor Access to Air Force Installation May 1996, FAR 52.232-33 Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer-Central Contractor Registration.
