58-This is notice of Immigration and Naturalization Service intends to negotiate and award a sole source contract to Sparton Technology, Inc., 4901 Rockway Blvd. SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124 for the following items. Stock number and amount as follows: # 42-0004128 BA SPS-GLS tested @ 35 units, #42-0000410 BA PIDS processor @ 15 units, #42-0000970 BA Encoder tested @ 20 units, #42-0004041 BA BKPLN IDS PRCSSR/XMT @ 10 units, #42-0001329 BA Encorder/Decoder tested @ 5 units, #42-0004037 BA BKPLN IDS Portable RPTR @ 5 units, #42-0004340 BA VHF XMTR B-band test @ 50 units, #42-0004346 , BA IDS 2ch VHF RCVR, C-Band @ 15 units; #42-0004096 Assy INS Control CPU tested @ 6 units, and #42-0001448 BA Decoder @ 10 units. The authority for this proposed contract action is FAR 6.302-1. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority cited above. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This is not a request for competitive proposals. However all proposals received within 10 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.=20
