Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate with Sopra, Incorporated on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR Part 13.106-1(b), Soliciting from a single source, for the purchase of a Vacuum Ultra Violet High Resolution Prism/Grating Double Spectrometer. Sopra, Incorporated is the only source of prism/grating spectrometers. The delivery time for this requirement is 90 days after receipt of order and the delivery shall be FOB Destination to Gaithersburg, Maryland. The Government anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price purchase order. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes by September 18, 2001. Faxed responses will be accepted. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A Request for Quotation (RFQ) package is not available. The NAICS code for this requirement is 421491 with a size standard of 500 employees. However, this requirement is unrestricted. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
