Description
The National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute intends to purchase a brand named FACSCalibur System, manufactured by (BD) Beckon Dickson Biosciences. The items to be purchase: (1) product #343167, Model FACSLoader FACSCalibur to include Automated sample introduction, FACStation compatible, Worklist Manager Software, Field Services Installation and Training On-site BD Support and Warranty. (2) Product # 342364 Multiwell Autosampler for FACSCalibur, which provides sample input from standard 96-well plates, Links to industry standard CellQuest software for acquisition and data analysis, Powerful new graphical user interface assists in experiment set-up, acquisition control, and data retrieval, Unique sample chamber design eliminates the need for pump-driven sample introduction to the flow cell, Parallel liquid paths allow simultaneous sample acquisition and line washing, minimizing time-consuming wash cycles, User-selectable sample volume adds flexibility, Programmable multiwash cycle simultaneously optimizes sample throughout and carryover, Requires teal G3 FACStation or higher. The FACSCalibur System is an accessory to a FACSCalibur 4 CLR Basic sensor unit and G4/9.1 FACStation purchase through the Federal Supply Schedule Mechanism. The Government intends to evaluate offers and award a contract without discussions with the Offerors providing the required specifications as outlined in this solicitation. Therefore, the initial offer should contain the offeror?s best terms from a technical and price standpoint. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 334516 and the Size Standard is 500 employees for this requirement. There are no set-aside restriction for this requirement. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. Interested vendors capable of furnishing the government with the products specified in this synopsis should submit two (2) copies of a proposal to the below address. The proposal shall include the business size, itemized price, shipping cost if applicable, prompt payment terms, the F.O.B. Point (Destination or Origin), Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNs), and descriptive literature of the product quoted. The proposal must reference ?Solicitation number? NHLBI-PS-2001-071. Proposals will be due fifteen (15) calendar days from the publication date of this synopsis or September 28, 2001 by 08:30 a.m. local time, whichever is later. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by the agency. Quotations must be submitted in writing to the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, Contracts Operations Branch, Procurement Section, 6701 Rockledge Drive, Suite 604, Bethesda, MD 20892-7902, Attention: Deborah Coulter.
