Description

The Bureau of Reclamation intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Southwest Indian Polytechnic Institute (SIPI), 9169 Coors Rod, NW, Albuquerque, NM 87184 to develop, expand, and implement a Water Technology Training Program, contribute to College Bound Math-Science Enrichment program for Native American Students, provide distance education on water resources, training on GIS/GPS software, and maintaining an aquaculture/hydroponics training site. The proposed action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). The reason justifying this sole source procurement is that the Government believes that only one responsible source can provide the services that will satisfy the agency requirements. Any firm that believes it can furnish the items described above are encouraged to give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished, in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. All responses received within five (5) days of the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
