Description

Provide professional A/E Services to design a project to "Correct Mechanical Deficiencies" at this VA Medical Center. Work involves making bathrooms on Ward 4 completely handicapped accessible; Replace Boiler Plant windows with thermostatically controlled windows; Provide roof over Oxygen Reserve Bank; Provide valving to isolate the reserve bank from the oxygen tank; Provide emergency feed in Oxygen Room of Building #1; Replace wet sprinklers in main Switchgear Room of Building #1 with dry; Replace Dietetic exhaust fan; Install Equipment Room ventilation system; In Room 900, provide economizer and controls for Elevator Equipment Room A/C; Building #1, 2nd Floor, upgrade air volume systems (boxes, controls, valves & springs); Fix air problems for new nurse station areas on Wards 4 & 5; Upgrade refrigeration in Room 238, Dietetics, to provide new condenser unit/evaporator unit controls and piping for Walk-In Freezer, Walk-In Cook's Cooler, and Walk-In Vegetable Cooler; Installation of support for new hydraulic lift for vehicles in Garage Area, Building #3. All work is to be completed in AutoCad 2002 3D and Architectural Desktop Version 3.3 and Building Services Mechanical and Electrical is available. Work to be completed with one hundred twenty (120) calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Estimated construction cost is between $250,000 and $500,000. See Numbered Notes #1 and #24.
