Description

THIS NOTICE IS BEING SYNOPSIZED TO SATISFY FEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATION PART 5 REQUIREMENTS. A FIRM FIXED PRICE CONTRACT WILL BE SOLICITED TO REFURBISH GYM FLOOR, YOUTH CENTER, BUILDING 196, SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, TX. The work to be performed under this contract is as follows: Contractor shall clean and apply sealants to the existing Youth Center, Building 196, Gym hardwood floor. Contractor shall provide all materials, labor and equipment to utilize the BASIC COATINGS, INC. DUSTLESS REFINISHING SYSTEM. The contractor shall machine scrub the existing gym floor with INTENSIVE FLOOR TREATMENT (ITF), then machine scrub rinse with water, and machine scrub with SQUEAKY CLEANER. Apply one coat of TYCOTE FINISH BINDER and one coat of STREET SHOE GLOSS FINISH. All the above work shall be executed in the best and most workmanlike manner by qualified, careful, and efficient mechanics skilled in the trade. The work shall be in strict accordance with the contract documents and standards of the industry. The Contractor shall provide a minimum of (2) individuals who are trained and certified to apply the Basic Coatings, Inc. refinishing system and specified products. Written certification for each applicator shall be submitted to the contracting officer prior to starting work. PROJECT MAGNITUDE IS LESS THAN $25,000 AND IS BEING SET ASIDE 100% FOR EMERGING SMALL BUSINESS. THIS ACQUISITION IS UNDER NORTH AMERICAN INDUSTRY CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (NAICS) CODE 235520, WITH A SIZE STANDARD OF $11.5M. ESTIMATED SOLICITATION DATE IS 14 SEP 01.
