- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This a Request for Quotation (RFQ), reference number ACB-1-R-0021. The RFQ document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 97-27. This RFQ is for applying Teflon type protective coating on Beretta 96D pistol magazines. This is a 100% set-aside for Small Business under NAIC 332813. Contract type to be Fixed-Price. A single award will be made as a result of this solicitation. CLIN 0001 -- Apply protective coating to new Beretta 96D magazines. Disassemble magazines, prepare and apply protective coating to all metallic parts, reassemble, and test operation. The coating shall be non-reflective, black or gray color, shall not peel, crack, or separate during use, shall not be affected by salt-water spray, and shall not affect reliable functioning of the magazine. Estimate quantity is 10,000 each. Magazines will be shipped the Contractor's facility at Government expense. After treatment, magazines shall be returned at Contractor's expense, within 60 calendar days. FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items, applies to this RFP. FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items applies to this RFQ. Evaluation factors are: (1) Price and (2) Past Performance which are equally important. All proposals submitted must include a completed copy of FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation plus this addenda: FAR 52.245-2, Government-Furnished Property (Fixed-Price Contracts). FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items, applies to this RFQ and in (b) the following items are checked: (1) 52.203-6, (3) 52.219-4, (5) 52.219-8, (6) 52.219-9, (8ii) 52.219-23 Alt 1, (9) 52.219-25, (11) 52.222-21, (12) 52.222-26, (13) 52.222-35, (14) 52.222-36, (15) 52.222-37, (17) 52.225-9, (23) 52.232-34, and (26) 52.247-64. The FAR clauses listed in this solicitation will, upon request, be provided by the contract specialist and also may be accessed at http://www.arnet.gov. Offers are due on 9/20/01, at 4:00 PM EST and should be sent to address above. FAXED proposals to 802-951-6455 are acceptable. As a minimum vendors should provide their proposal on company letterhead or a SF 1449, a completed representations and certifications in FAR 52.212-3, a description of their protective coating process, and at least two references showing past performance on work of similar scope.
