Description

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is contemplating a sole source acquisition with Access 2000 and Beyond (a division of Access 2000, Inc.) under FAR 6.302-1. The IRS is requesting quotations from vendors for (1) EA, QUAD MEMORY FOR IBM NUMA-Q (Refurbished Equipment) brand name or equal for Sequent Computer System by IBM. The minimum specification for equal shall include the following: Product Description: (1) Quad-0412; NUMA Q Quad w/4 700MHz CPU's (1) MEMO1200-01; 1Gb Memory (1) IQ-Link-20; IQ Link (1) Unlimited PTX User License. Delivery and Installation of equipment, Warranty terms shall be included. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The following Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) provisions and clauses shall apply FAR 52.212-1, 52.212-3, 52.211-6, 52.212-4, and 52.212-5 to this synopsis. The FAR web-site is www.arnet.gov/far. This procurement is 100% set aside for small businesses (see numbered Note 1). The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 541511. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is TIRWR-01-Q-00118. Delivery shall be made within 2 weeks after receipt of purchase order. Delivery terms are F.O.B. destination to the IRS Systems Management Branch 1160 W 1200 S Street Ogden, UT 84201. The resulting contract shall be a firm fixed price contract. The basis for award shall be based on brand name or equal and price. All interested small businesses are requested to submit their quotation by e-mail to rudy.bernardy@irs.gov. Quotations shall included the RFQ number, the proposed unit price, prompt payment discount terms, company name, point of contact, address, phone number, fax number, tax identification number, DUNS number, size status (i.e., small business, disadvantaged business or woman owned business).
