Description

This is a combined synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, and 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; the proposal and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect thorough Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-27 and is issued for RFP 549-104-1. General scope of work calls for the provision of all supervision, labor, equipment, parts-unless specifically excluded- materials and travel to perform preventative maintenance, emergency repair service, testing and fire safety device inspections for those elevators equipped with such equipment. Services shall be performed on a combination of elevators(passenger, service and dumbwaiter) located at the Dallas and/or Bonham medical facilities of the North Texas Healthcare System. The contract shall be performed in accordance with the Technical Provisions(contact the Contracting Officer listed below for a copy of the Technical Specifications),and shall conform to the most current issue(s) of "The American National Standard Code for elevators, dumbwaiters, escalators, and moving walks, ANSI, A 17.1-1978. The awarded contract shall be for a base period from date of award through 09/30/02 and shall include four(4) options that allows the government the unilateral right to extend the term of the contract by 12 months each. Evaluation may be made with or without discussion and will be based price and the responsible offer conforming to the solicitation which is most advantageous to the Government.
